What would your week look like if we did the roster for you?
ROSTAR is a bespoke rostering service built by someone who's spent their career inside the early education and care sector. You don't learn new software. You don't change platforms. Built for your centre, delivered in advance.
No complex software to learn. No lengthy onboarding. No disruption to your centre.
A detailed conversation about the operational dynamics of your centre and the rhythm beneath it. This is where we discover how ROSTAR can support your service, and what your bespoke package will look like.
Then we build your package around your team and your budget, shaped by your feedback. Some services want just the roster; others want ROSTAR there for sick calls and last-minute changes too. You choose what your service needs.
ROSTAR delivers your roster in advance, ready for you to review and approve. That's the rhythm. Your roster, done for you.
ROSTAR builds around your budget, your staffing arrangements, and your attendance patterns. Always in advance, always on budget, always compliant.
When a roster is fair, predictable, and delivered in advance, educators stay. And in a sector that relies on consistent, qualified, experienced educators, a team that stays is what keeps families coming back.
The roster matters - for your educators, your families, and the children in your care. Service leaders are the first to set their own work aside for the people in front of them. ROSTAR was built to give that time back - so you can be present for the people who need you.

I've been on both sides of that conversation.
Educator. Nominated Supervisor. Director. And all the roles in between.
I've spent my career inside early learning services, most recently leading an Exceeding-rated centre in Sydney.
I've built rosters through every kind of year. The steady ones and the hard ones. Through shifting enrolments and changing awards. Through COVID and the educator shortage it left behind. Through the child protection crisis that's reshaping our sector, a sector that needs its leaders present on the floor. Through all of it, every roster still had to remain on budget and compliant.
A considered roster brings harmony to a demanding job. It's part of how a centre keeps its team, keeps children safe, and keeps families coming back, not just how it gets through the week.
Building a considered roster takes time and focus - and that's the thing leaders have least of. There's support for every other part of a service: incursions, bookkeepers, compliance consultants, PD consultants. But when everyone and everything needs you at once, there's no one to reliably carry the roster for you - the thing that underpins the rhythm, that makes sure the right people are there at the right time. So I built it.
ROSTAR was created to give you time back, so you can be where you're needed most, present with your team and the children and families in your care. So you too can close the door on time, knowing ROSTAR has the roster handled.
Service leaders know that feeling. The early morning or late night message. You're not at work yet. But you're working.
Everyone has the right to disconnect. In practice, someone still has to answer that message and find the cover.
With ROSTAR's sick-call support, that someone is no longer you. Your team contacts us instead. We check the roster first. If cover is needed, we contact your casuals. Then we let you know what's been arranged.
You arrive to lead your day.
Software gives you a tool. ROSTAR gives you a person - someone who knows the awards, understands the National Quality Framework, and the rhythm a centre runs on. ROSTAR builds your roster around your centre, in your preferred program. You don't learn anything new. You review and approve, and it's ready for your team.
It starts in the discovery call - a detailed conversation about the operational dynamics of your centre and the rhythm beneath it. We learn how your current roster works, how your team works, who thrives together, who needs flexible hours, your shift patterns, attendance, room configurations, and ratios.
From there, the first few rosters are where it's tailored to you. You review each one, and we shape it around your feedback.
Once we're set up, the gathering is ours. We hold your shift patterns, pull approved leave and attendance patterns from your system - or receive them directly - and collect staff and casual availability as it changes.
Yes - ROSTAR works with early childhood education and care services across Australia.
Following the discovery call, you'll receive your bespoke package, with everything it includes and what it costs. From there, it's done for you.
ROSTAR is a remote rostering service, with the optional add-on of sick calls and live roster updates. Some centres receive their roster in advance and make live changes themselves. Others engage ROSTAR to make those changes for them - that's part of what we set in your discovery call.
Book a call and tell us what you're working with. No sales pitch — just an honest conversation about your centre, your team, and whether ROSTAR is the right fit.
